A closer look at MacScan 2.6.1
MacScan detects, isolates, and removes spyware applications such as keystroke loggers and trojan horses. Blacklisted cookie scanner removes tracking cookies without saved usernames or passwords. MacScan cleans Internet files, cookies and history. MacScan will isolate all evidence of spyware type applications to a secured, single location; including the programs, extensions, preferences and any log files then create a report of all activity.
Upon starting the program, there are various options. Clicking on the Web Files button, you get to choose which files created by web browsers to clean:

Pressing the Scan button gives you a choice of doing a quick, full or custom scan (custom scan option available only in the full version). The quick scan will scan only the home folder for the current user, while the full scan will check your entire hard drive. The custom scan allows you sift through different disks such as CDs, DVDs or other hard drives.
