Vulnerability management for over 15,000 unique apps
Tripwire announced at RSA Conference 2015 that its Tripwire IP360 solution now discovers more than 100,000 conditions, including vulnerabilities, configurations and operating systems, and more than 15,000 applications.
Tripwire solutions ensure that assets on customer networks are accurately and comprehensively profiled, evaluated for vulnerabilities and evaluated for compliant configurations. The company provides broad coverage of conditions in the industry and provides timely vulnerability intelligence through the company’s Vulnerability and Exposure Research Team (VERT).
Tripwire’s VERT is comprised of experienced security engineers and researchers who scour the globe looking for the latest public and private vulnerabilities. Once risks are identified, VERT writes vulnerability signature detection algorithms that are included in Tripwire IP360, and the company’s other vulnerability and risk management solutions.
Recent updates include expanded coverage for Apple TV, HP Data Protector, Synology DiskStation, F5 BIG-IP, IBM DB2.
Over the past year, Tripwire’s VERT has provided organizations with effective and immediate coverage for some of the most notorious exploits ever faced, including Heartbleed, Superfish, Shellshock, POODLE, and FREAK.
“The constantly shifting landscape of high profile vulnerabilities and increasingly sophisticated threats made 2014 a particularly challenging year for information security professionals,” said Lamar Bailey, director of security research and development for Tripwire. “Tripwire’s ongoing investment in security research and development makes it possible for us to continually update our coverage to respond to changing conditions and provide our customers with an accurate, continuous view of risk across their entire network.”
