Strix Systems Announces Secure Wireless LAN System
Strix Systems, Inc. released Access/One Network, its wireless LAN system technology. Built on distributed intelligence, routing and switching, the company’s wireless LAN system dynamically self-discovers, self-tunes for ideal operation and finally self-heals to maintain full network coverage.
From the security perspective of this newly announced WLAN system, security shield extends over the wireless link, providing the authentication, authorization and encryption possibilities in addition to protection against rogue access points.
“We have implemented 802.1x authentication and authorization, along with standard protection schemes such as WEP, WPA, and TKIP. We have built-in AES encryption, and we transparently support any VPN selected by the customer.” Bruce Brown, company Chairman and CEO said and added that the company’s technology makes the airwaves more secure than wired networks.
