Trend Micro Announces Q4 2002 Earnings
Trend Micro, a worldwide leader in network antivirus and Internet content security solutions, today announced Q4 2002 earnings – posting a group net profit of Y7.89 billion ($65.6 million) in 2002, more than three times the Y2.42 billion posted in 2001 (full press release follow). Additional highlights include:
- Group sales rose 37.2% to Y42.98 billion, also a record
- Consolidated net sales were Y11.76 billion (or US $100 million), a 9% gain compared with the same period a year ago and a 10% gain compared with the previous quarter
- Operating income of Y4.43 billion (or US $38million), a 13% gain compared with the same period a year ago and a 44% gain compared with the previous quarter
- The result beats the company’s own late October forecast for Y7.3 billion
