Unlock your digital world with True Key
Intel Security recently previewed True Key, a new way to unlock your digital world. It combines both password management with simple and secure multi-factor authentication, paving the way for eventual password elimination.
True Key is an application that you can install on your computer, phone or tablet. As you use your applications or visit websites, the application remembers your passwords, enabling it to fill them in for you in the future. The information is then synced to all your devices.
True Key keeps your data locally on your device using AES-256 encryption. “The more factors you add and use to access your True Key, the stronger it becomes. This way, a user can prevent unauthorized access to their sensitive information in the event that one of their factors is stolen or spoofed,” according to Maeghan Smulders, Online Security Evangelist for Intel Security.
The application uses sophisticated algorithms to securely calculate your facial math and once measured, never keeps a picture that is shared or stored.
For the time being, those that are interested in trying out True Key can apply here. The solution is available on Windows, OS X, Android, iOS devices, and across Chrome and Internet Explorer.
Every True Key account comes with a free subscription that allows you to store 15 passwords. A premium subscription will set you back $19.99 per year or $1.99 per month.
