New Version of Norman Internet Control Released
Norwegian security company Norman, started the business year with the release of a new version of their product Norman Internet Control. This software has the functionalities of Norman’s flagship products – Norman Virus Control and Norman Personal Firewall. The latest release introduces many improvements to simplify the installation and continued ease of use to make the program a solution that is available to users at all levels.
Some of the key features of Norman Internet Control include:
Parental control – With the Norman Personal Firewall (NPF) component you can assign varying user access rights based on when and where you will allow them to surf. By using the built-in filter it is possible to block web pages with offensive content or restrict access to web pages listed in a predefined list. It is also possible to define when and for how long the different users are allowed to remain connected to the Internet, and in addition you will have a log so you can check where the users have been.
Secure connection for DSL users – The program carefully monitors all applications that attempt to connect to the Internet/network. Every program is assigned its own “guard” for continuous inspection. Trojans, which give unauthorized users control of your PC, will be stopped, just like viruses that attempt to send e-mails in your name. You can decide who should be able to see and access your shared folders.
Protection of privacy – The cookies are useful for some web sites, for example Internet banks, but these cookies unfortunately also expose your surfing habits. The program can prevent logging which web sites you have visited.
Norman Internet Control is available in these European languages: Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish. One year license costs $70 and the products can be bought from Norman’s web shop.
