FBI Director James Comey to keynote RSA Conference 2014

RSA Conference announced that Director of the FBI, James B. Comey will provide a keynote presentation on Wednesday, February 26 at RSA Conference 2014 in San Francisco.

During his session “The FBI and the Private Sector: Closing the Gap in Cyber Security,” Comey will discuss his views on the top cyber threats to U.S. national security. Attendees will learn that while the U.S. government and enterprises have made great strides in cyber security, there is still much work to be done.

Comey will explain the need for government and the private sector to better share threat information in real-time in order to close the gap, and best address today’s cyber threats.

In September 2013, Comey was sworn in as the seventh Director of the FBI. A New York native, Comey graduated from the College of William and Mary and the University of Chicago Law School. He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of Virginia. Comey later returned to New York to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. In 2003, he was nominated to serve as Deputy Attorney General of the Department of Justice.
