Netwrix makes password management free to small businesses
Netwrix announced the availability of Netwrix Password Manager as a completely free offering to businesses with up to 100 users.
“According to Forrester research, password management represents 30% to 50% of all IT help desk issues,” said Michael Fimin, Netwrix CEO. “Small companies are usually the last to adopt innovative technologies that automate time-consuming manual processes like password management. This 100-user version of Netwrix Password Manager will help them get repetitive tasks off the backs of IT support and reduce the costs of resolving password-related issues,” explained Fimin.
Netwrix Password Manager provides simplified password management:
Self-serviced – Users can reset passwords and unlock their own accounts after successfully answering identity verification questions.
Logon and Web-based management – Users can reset their passwords directly from a Windows logon or through a web browser.
This allows organizations to implement strong password policies in Active Directory environments to meet regulatory compliance requirements and address identity management challenges, without the risk of increasing the workload of help desk personnel.
“This New Year offer is a great opportunity for small organizations to start 2014 with a fresh approach to password management at no extra cost. Also, large-sized companies that want to manage a group of 100 users can take advantage of the fully functional freeware edition that becomes available today,” explained Fimin.
