BT Security CEO to keynote RSA Conference Europe 2013
RSA Conference announced BT Security CEO Mark Hughes as a keynote speaker for the 14th annual RSA Conference Europe, taking place from 29 – 31 October 2013, at Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands.
The world’s gaze was focused on London last summer, making it critical that BT delivered a seamless and secure network infrastructure. In the face of significant threats, including travel disruption and the surge in telecom service demands, Hughes and his team developed a managed service capable of maintaining the highest possible levels of security while eliminating any potential for disruption.
During his keynote, Hughes will discuss securing the greatest show on earth from BT’s perspective, including four years of planning and delivering seven weeks of flawless execution on the world stage.
“High-profile sporting events, especially those global in scale, are important social and cultural touch points, but are also coveted targets for actors with nefarious agendas,” Sandra Toms LaPedis, Vice President and General Manager of RSA Conferences. “Mark and his team were in a prestigious, but unenviable position of taking responsibilities for one of the world’s largest gatherings. The insights learned from years of planning will provide attendees with an important look at how to succeed in long term projects.”
