OkayFreedom: VPN solution for private surfing
Steganos Software announced OkayFreedom, a VPN service enabling Internet users to privately and securely surf all Web content, regardless of their location.
Designed for individuals who want to protect their online identity and activities while using public WiFi, as well as for U.S. residents, overseas travelers and expatriates who wish to access Web content or videos blocked by certain countries, OkayFreedom provides users with an easy and ad-free way to surf the Internet.
“In this day and age when you can’t trust certain Internet companies to respect the privacy of your online activities, it’s increasingly important to take advantage of VPN services that mask your identity,” said Gabriel Yoran, managing director of Steganos Software. “The fact that OkayFreedom also opens up the Internet, enabling users to bypass country restrictions on Web content, represents the icing on the cake.”
OkayFreedom employs a network of encrypted, worldwide servers that direct data traffic. At present, users can assume a German, Swiss, British or alternate U.S. identity with the mere click of a button.
The software has three different pricing levels:
- The free version enables users to surf 500 MB per month.
- The premium version – costing $5.95/month or $59.95/year – provides 5 GB of Internet traffic per month.
- For unlimited surfing, the premium flat version costs $11.95/month or $69.95/year.
