Securely share files between PC, Mac, iOS and Android
Trend Micro released SafeSync, a tool for safe and simple synchronization. The new offering provides consumers an enhanced look and feel, simplified sync functionality and expanded support for Mac users.
In addition to existing automatic sync, users can now drag and drop files and instantly sync a broad range of devices, including computers, smartphones and tablets, leading to easier access to all personal data.
SafeSync seamlessly moves files from one device to another, reducing the likelihood of data loss and slashing the time spent moving files manually. Using SafeSync mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android, users can upload captured images, stream music and videos, view pictures or important documents, and easily share them all.
New features in Trend Micro SafeSync include:
Drag & drop – Users can simply drag and drop files into the SafeSync Folder and have them sync with the cloud immediately.
Cross platform support – Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android support means you no longer need to choose sides.
Mobility – The SafeSync Folder goes on any device where the SafeSync client or mobile app has been installed, without further configuration.
Create your own SafeSync Folders – There’s no need to move files into a separate SafeSync Folder; a right-click on any folder brings up the options to ‘Make this a SafeSync Folder’.
Caching Made Easy – Users can selectively sync folders on different computers and mobile devices so as not to take up too much space on any one.
Expanded support – The newSafeSync supports Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and native 64-bit support for Mac OS X 10.5 and higher.
SafeSync is available immediately in the U.S. Existing users will be upgraded starting at the end of November 2011. Pricing starts at $39.95 per year. SafeSync is available in the following languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Turkish, Japanese, and German.
