FortiNet FortiAnalyzer XSS and script insertion vulnerabilities
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in FortiNet FortiAnalyzer, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks, according to Secunia.
1. Certain unspecified input related to device groups is not properly sanitized before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user’s browser session in context of an affected site.
2. Certain unspecified input related to log filters is not properly sanitized before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user’s browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
