Cisco patches DoS flaws in IOS
Cisco has released a bundle of security updates for the IOS (the software used on Cisco Systems routers and current network switches) and the Unified Communications Manager (the call processing component of the Cisco IP Telephony solution).
Cisco Unified Communications Manager contains two denial of service vulnerabilities that affect the processing of Session Initiation Protocol messages, exploitation of which could cause an interruption of voice services.
Among the vulnerabilities that affect IOS, there are software session initiation protocol DoS vulnerabilities, software Network Address Translation and H.323 DoS vulnerabilities, a SSL VPN and a software Internet group management protocol DoS vulnerability.
