Secure remote access for Mac users

HOB launched MacGate, a new secure remote access solution designed specifically for Mac users. It provides users with access to computers running Mac, especially graphics workstations, on a corporate network either through a LAN or over the Internet.

In addition, access to Mac computers is possible from any client platform including Windows, Linux or even from another Mac workstation.

HOB MacGate merges Mac OS X desktops onto PC desktops and provides the user with the experience and usability of working simultaneously on both a PC and Mac. Once logged in, users see the desktop of the remote system on the client computer, and can work with it as if locally installed on their own PC.

Additionally, all components and elements of the Mac user interface such as the menu list, dock, icons, print function and program windows are fully functional in the remote desktop session.
