A new, secure operating system?
Newmium is currently developing a 32/64/128-bit scalable operating system for high-end servers and workstations.
The iXRIOS is a high-speed, multi-processor, multi-operative, real-time operating system based on the workstation-server model. It can be used as a central server or workstation and works synergistically with Newmium’s WEB, email, file, and database servers. It offers data processing with complete security and portability, and a scaled-down version for mobile computing named iXRIOS-Soli.
Users log on to a specific machine on which their operatives execute by default. They can request remote execution of their operatives via automatic and transparent load balancing of operatives and processors. Coupled with transparent load balancing, the iXRIOS system is loading only required services and drivers. This means that no unnecessary services or devices to burden the system.
The operating system is capable of high bandwidth and it supports multiple security layers. Through encryption techniques, it promises full security at each level of the processing scheme, guarding against system breaking, invasive hacking and viruses.
The iXRIOS system supports applications currently being developed by Newmium, as well as Newmium’s existing applications and tools, including the CGX-Series, Dr-Series GT-Series and iXSeries. Support for third-party development utilizing Newmium’s software development kits, tools and design suites will also be available.
iXRIOS is going to be restricted to commercial USA corporations. All government and non-profits are excluded from the program.
