Massive Twitter account hijacking spree

As posted by Rik Ferguson to Trend Micro’s CounterMeasure blog, it appears that there is a rash of Twitter account hijacking going on this evening. Hundreds of Twitter accounts are being compromised and tweets are being posted encouraging users to make the accquaintance of a 23 year old female with a webcam-¦

Mr Ferguson notes that in the two hours since 1pm EST, over 700 Twitter accounts have been compromised. The tweet in question reads “hey! 23/Female. Come chat with me on my webcam thingy here www.{BLOCKED}.com.”

The linked porn webcam portal contains an obfuscated JavaScript that loads up porn related advertisments on the browsing computer.
