Agnitum announces new Outpost 2009 products for the summer

In the latest issue of Agnitum Directions newsletter, the company announced that over the summer they are planning major new versions of their Outpost product line.

Outpost 2009, now in beta, is making good progress. We are planning a triple release (Outpost Security Suite Pro, Outpost Firewall Pro and Outpost Antivirus Pro) this summer. As we noted before, the main focus of the 2009 products is improved usability and convenience. We’ve implemented a number of interface updates to make Outpost controls more intuitive and to provide more flexibility in choosing security options and making adjustments. These changes affect the main program window, advanced log structure and several of the menus.

That’s not to say there are no technology improvements in Outpost 2009. The revamped SmartScan significantly speeds up malware scans, the IP Blocklist module gives you customized protection against web-borne threats, strengthened anti-leak mechanism to combat the latest threats, the anti-keylogger plugin as part of Host Protection to prevent disclosure of your personal data entered through the keyboard – and there will be more. You’ll just have to wait a little while longer before we unveil the final pleasant surprises.
