New versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux file servers and workstations
Kaspersky Lab just announced the release of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux Workstation and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux File Server. The latest versions of these two applications include support for managing the product’s security settings via Kaspersky Administration Kit, a powerful and flexible tool that provides centralized administration of antivirus protection systems on complex networks.
It is notable that these are the first two applications with administration capability for the protection of systems running Linux. The release of these latest applications greatly improves the capability of centrally managing a diverse and complex computer network.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux Workstation and Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server provide advanced antivirus protection for Linux workstations and file servers, effectively detecting and neutralizing malicious programs.
Included in both applications is a user-friendly system which automatically updates antivirus databases, as well as a flexible antivirus configuration mechanism. The kavmonitor (on-access scanner) component integrated into these applications provides real-time antivirus protection of file systems and intercept and block all suspicious processes running on the system.
