MXI Security works with RSA to deliver portable 3-factor authentication for secure remote access
MXI Security, a division of Memory Experts International, announces the release of its MXI Remote ACCESS solution. The company has teamed with RSA, The Security Division of EMC to help expand secure access to information for consumers, enterprises and government organizations. Technically interoperable with RSA SecurID technology, MXI Remote ACCESS is a completely portable, driverless and fully automated software solution that allows mobile workers to securely access the corporate network using 3-Factor authentication.
With MXI Remote ACCESS, dynamic and static credentials required to access a corporate network can now be generated and provided using MXI’s Stealth MXP and Outbacker MXP all-in-one Portable Security Devices. Easily deployed, the devices are bound to users with hardware-based strong biometric and/or password authentication adding another layer of security to protect the RSA SecurID® software authenticator. This helps to ensure that even if a device is lost or stolen, unauthorized access to the stored data is not possible. The same MXP Portable Security Device can also be used for encrypted (FIPS validated AES 256) mass storage of up to 80GB.
Available immediately, MXI’s Remote ACCESS solution will be demonstrated at RSA® Conference 2007 at the RSA Partner Pavilion, Booth 1324. Any machine with a USB port running Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Embedded XP can serve as the client. MSRP starts at $500 USD for a 50 user package.
