Scott Olson joins Outseer as CMO
In his new role as CMO, Scott Olson will spearhead Outseer’s mission to liberate the world from transactional fraud and build on the company’s heritage of innovation.
Throughout his career Olson has served as an innovator and marketing leader at security and fraud management companies that have delivered solutions to the financial services, ecommerce, and public sector industries among many others.
Olson joins Outseer after serving as VP of Global Product Marketing at TransUnion overseeing go-to-market strategy for seven global solution lines with teams across the world.
Prior to TransUnion Olson was a pioneer in security and fraud management where he led marketing at multiple successful companies including iovation. Olson oversaw marketing and product strategy at iovation which was a market leader in using device intelligence and reputation to fight online fraud.
Among Olson’s other experience, he was also a co-founder of WheelGroup in the late 1990’s where he helped drive market success for intrusion detection solutions culminating in an acquisition by Cisco Systems. Olson also was VP of Marketing at WholeSecurity that delivered solutions to fight trojan horses and other malware.
WholeSecurity’s success led to an acquisition by Symantec. In 2007 Olson was the recipient of the Duke University Distinguished Young Alumni Award for Engineering for his work in cyber security.
