This latest version incorporates a range of upgrades and enhancements including faster performance and the introduction of the award winning Kaspersky Administration Kit.
The new technologies in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.6 for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition significantly increase the program’s performance due to its optimization for dual processor servers and workstations using Intel(r) Xeon(tm) processors. The processor load is 66% lower in version 5.6 than in 5.5 and the application is noticeably faster in comparison with the speed of traditional server solutions. . Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition is designed to protect large-scale corporate networks, and is installed on ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition server arrays. The solution supports the centralization of the system’s administration component, i.e. supporting overall configuration of all server array members, and centralized updating of antivirus databases.
The program provides antivirus monitoring for files transmitted via HTTP and FTP through the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, which functions as a firewall. The program acts as a filter, intercepting data transmitted via HTTP and FTP in order to identify objects for monitoring and subsequent analysis for the presence of malicious code. If malicious code is detected, the system prevents it from being transmitted onward, thus preventing infected files and web documents from penetrating the local network.
The new version of the program has retained the characteristics of version 5.5, including the option to schedule automatic antivirus updates over the Internet, monitor statistical data on system performance using standard Windows tools, configure antivirus scanning and notification about the results, and to create lists of trusted servers and types of objects which do not need to be scanned for viruses.
