Elemental Selected To Present At It Security World; To Demonstrate Security Compliance Management Product At Expo
SAN MATEO, Calif. – Sept. 27, 2005 – Elemental Security, Inc., an award-winning pioneer of new technology in enterprise information security, today announced that it has been selected to present at the IT Security World Conference and Expo 2005, being held Sept. 28 – Oct. 1 in San Francisco. Elemental will also exhibit at the event in Booth No. 313, where it will demonstrate its award-winning security compliance management product.
Dan Farmer, security industry expert and Elemental co-founder and CTO, will participate in a keynote panel discussion titled “Meet the Security Rock Stars” on Sept. 29 at 8 am PDT. Mr. Farmer will also present “Modern Forensics Analysis” in a stand-alone session on Sept. 29 at 10:30 am PDT. Information about the conference, an event put on by the MIS Training Institute (MISTI) to tackle the full spectrum of security challenges and offer real-world, unbiased solutions, can be found at: http://www.misti.com/itsecurityworld .
“We are pleased to have someone of Dan Farmer’s stature in the industry on the agenda for our upcoming MISTI conference,” said Ann Mangan, Conference Producer, MISTI. “Dan’s track record of independent thinking and leadership makes him a perfect fit for our “Meet the Security Rock Stars’ special session, and he’s innovating again at Elemental Security. We also look forward to hearing his insights about computer forensics analysis, and having our attendees benefit from the wealth of his expertise.”
To be demonstrated in its booth, Elemental’s award-winning product is the world’s first solution that unifies policy management, host configuration and network access control in one seamlessly integrated offering. For the first time, enterprises can easily express cross-platform security policies that affect individual computers and their behavior on the network, gather meaningful up-to-date information to compare to established metrics, and selectively enforce policies across a diverse, dynamic environment. Security compliance has become a top priority for enterprises due to the pressures from increasing frequency and severity of security breaches, and from regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
