AppGate Network security has signed an agreement that enables Sun Microsystems to OEM MindTerm for integration into Sun Identity Management products
MindTerm is an AppGate product that is very well suited for technically skilled users in situations where you have open network architecture with direct SSH based host and server access. It is a small, portable and secure, but still extremely powerful, SSH Java(TM) library and SSH Client with no installation requirements. With the applet version of MindTerm it is also possible to run a secure terminal session from a Java enabled web browser, e.g. when travelling and on lent computers.
“MindTerm is probably the most widely spread client that implements the SSH1 and SSH2 protocols written in pure Java. Some of the worlds leading manufactures of communication equipment has signed OEM agreements with AppGate and integrated MindTerm into their own solutions. Many users are also found in the education- and government sector.” says Mr. G?¶ran Marby, CEO AppGate Network Security.
“We chose MindTerm because of its ability to allow our products to connect in an open and secure manner to a wide range of heterogeneous application environments supporting the SSH protocols. With a small footprint and rich feature set bundled as a pure Java application, MindTerm provides a compelling network enabling solution.” says Andy Land, director, product management, Sun Microsystems.
