CyberGuard Adds Information Security Expert to Manage Growing Middle East Operation
Bracknell, UK, 2nd August, 2005 – CyberGuard(r) Corporation (NASDAQ: CGFW), a global provider of security solutions that protect the business-critical information assets of Global 2000 enterprises and government organizations, has hired Sami Mulla as Vice President, Middle East and Northern Africa. In this role Mulla will lead the team focused on delivering powerful IT security solutions to the largest organizations in the Middle East. Mulla will report to Mark Reese, CyberGuard’s Chief Operating Officer, and be based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Most recently Mulla served as General Manager of Information Security for the Saudi Telecom Company, one of the largest telecommunications firms in the world. In this role he was responsible for implementing a wide array of technologies, directing the development and deployment of strategic conceptual models, driving strategic direction, policies and plans, and establishing business models for information security management. Prior to the Saudi Telecom Company Mulla spent time with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency as their Information Security Officer where he was responsible for assessing the present security solutions and planning and executing the necessary updates.
