Aventail New Partner Program Gives Resellers Opportunity to be Virtual Channel of Aventail’s Best-of-Breed Technology Partners
Seattle, WA — October 13, 2004 — Leading SSL VPN technology company Aventail Corporation today announced the Aventail Trusted Solution Provider (TSP) program, a new partner initiative that gives Aventail’s resellers direct access to Aventail’s best-of-breed technology partners. Through the TSP program, Aventail resellers can become virtual partners of TSP members and receive preferred pricing, distribution and support without any initial investment or requirements typically needed with a standard channel program.
“This type of added value for the channel gives us the ability to close more deals and is exactly why we are an Aventail partner,” said Bernie Mikula, co-founder and CEO of Go2 Communications, Inc., a networking consultancy based in Boston. “It is a great competitive edge to represent to our customers and prospects both Aventail’s industry leading SSL VPN and complementary technology solutions with the assurance of interoperability, competitive pricing and coordinated support.”
Aventail resellers will be offered initial training and product documentation for all solutions covered in the TSP program, and TSP members will support the channel as needed with customers. The resellers also receive the same pricing preference from TSP members as they would if they were an actual channel partner of that company.
TSP members are a subset of Aventail’s technology partnerships, which include best-of-breed solutions covering endpoint security, single sign-on and application firewall protection. Through the program, Aventail TSP members receive faster go-to-market opportunities by leveraging Aventail’s established reseller network. The anchor members of the program are WholeSecurity, the leader in behavioral endpoint security solutions, and NetContinuum, the leading provider of ASIC-based application firewalls. All Aventail technology partners are eligible to join.
“By successfully implementing Aventail’s market leading solutions, resellers have met their customers’ needs for secure remote access to corporate resources,” said Scott Olson, senior vice president of marketing, WholeSecurity. “The same resellers now have the ability to increase revenue by immediately protecting their customers’ remote computers against malicious threats like worms, Trojan horses and keystroke loggers. WholeSecurity is excited to be working with Aventail’s resellers to bring our value-added solution to their customers.”
“Aventail’s TSP program gives NetContinuum immediate access to one of the strongest and most trusted security channels in the industry,” said Wes Wasson, vice president of marketing at NetContinuum. “With application security predicted to be a $1 billion market next year, expanding our reach to additional qualified channel partners is an essential part of maintaining NetContinuum’s leadership as the industry’s best-selling application firewall.”
The Aventail Trusted Solution Provider program is a worldwide initiative. Initially, Whole Security will be available to Aventail resellers in North America, while NetContinuum is initially available in both North America and Europe. Both companies plan to expand in early 2005 to the other regions.
