Corsaire Establish Vulnerability Coordination Relationship with UK NISCC Response Team
Woking — 21, May 2004 —Corsaire, a pioneer and leader of global information security solutions, and NISCC [1], the UK National Infrastructure Security Co-ordination Centre have today announced a partnership promoting the co-ordination of Corsaire’s vulnerability discoveries.

“Historically, we have used the CERT/CC team to coordinate all of our vulnerability discoveries; our reason for opting for NISCC was purely to extend our reach,” commented Martin O’Neal, Managing Director of Corsaire. “To date our unreleased advisory list includes 45 unique vulnerabilities affecting approximately 150 products with the oldest unreleased advisory is dated 24 February 2003. In our search for potential partnerships NISCC were a natural alternative as we were impressed with their thoroughness when they undertook the co-ordination of the recent OpenSSL issues.”
Under the terms of the agreement NISCC will take over the vendor coordination role on behalf of Corsaire; working closely with manufacturers to ensure that security holes are notified and resolved promptly.
