AEP Systems Releases SSL VPN for Small-Scale Deployments

Las Vegas – N+I Conference – May 12, 2004 – AEP Systems, the high-speed security company, announces the release of SureWare A-Gate AG-60, a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN designed specifically for small-scale deployments. SureWare A-Gate AG-60 offers an efficient, affordable alternative for companies that require remote access for a small number of employees. The product supports up to 50 concurrent users and sells for a one-time price of $7,000 per appliance with no extra licensing fees or costly consulting contracts.

“A-Gate AG-60 is aimed at businesses that have a need for secure remote access but typically have few IT resources and a limited budget. The AG-60 is ideal for an all-in-one IT manager looking for an easy, affordable remote access solution,” said Rob Lane, AEP Systems VP of Product Management. “With SureWare A-Gate, AEP Systems is committed to offering secure, high-quality products at an affordable price.”

SureWare A-Gate AG-60 has similar functionality to the SureWare AG-600, AEP Systems’ SSL VPN for up to 400 concurrent users. A-Gate AG-60 supports both clientless Web-enabled applications, including Windows Terminal Services, and access to client-server applications. SureWare A-Gate provides all the functionality of a traditional network access solution while leveraging the benefits of SSL, such as easy firewall traversal, application access controls and low maintenance costs. SureWare A-Gate AG-60 meets the needs of mobile employees, road warriors, teleworkers, occasional travelers and business partners.

With today’s release of SureWare A-Gate AG-60, AEP Systems now offers a complete portfolio of SSL VPN products for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and departments within larger organizations. SureWare A-Gate AG-60 is available through worldwide distributors in the US, Europe and Asia. For more information about A-Gate and distributor locations, visit www.aepsystems.com.
