Utimaco Chosen as Exclusive Provider of Security Solutions for PCs and Notebooks by the Finnish Government

Oberursel, May 6, 2004 – Utimaco Safeware has been chosen as exclusive provider for the Finnish Government in the field of PC and notebook security. The agreement includes Utimaco’s security solutions for hard disk encryption, file and folder encryption and for enhanced security policy enforcement. All units and departments with more than 140,000 users covered by the government can benefit from this agreement.

The contract was made between Getafix Oy, one of the large channel partners of Utimaco Safeware’s Finnish subsidiary, and Hansel Oy, the Finnish Government`s central purchasing body. It covers the SafeGuard encryption products for PCs and notebooks (SafeGuard Easy and SafeGuard LAN Crypt) and SafeGuard Advanced Security for enabling strong security policy enforcement on the stationary and mobile computers.
