F-Secure Protects the Growing Number of Linux Users With New Advanced Antivirus Solutions
F-Secure Corporation (HEX: FSC), a leading provider of content security solutions introduces a new easy to use, automatic anti-virus solution to protect Linux based file and print servers. Furthermore, during the 1st half of 2004 F-Secure will launch a new centrally manageable, real-time scanning anti-virus solution for Linux workstations and servers. With these new solutions, F-Secure brings Linux security to a new level and enables organizations to safely deploy Linux to their existing IT infrastructure. The new products will provide more easy to use, automatic and manageable security solutions for Linux servers and workstations.
F-Secure Anti-Virusâ„? for Samba Servers automatically detects, cleans, removes and disinfects viruses from files stored on Samba file servers. Similarly to F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows Servers, F-Secure Anti-Virus for Samba Servers helps organizations protect their file servers, the data located on the network disks and the clients accessing the disks Also, later during the year 2004 F-Secure will launch a new centrally manageable, real-time scanning anti-virus solution for Linux workstations and servers. Through this unique offering, organisations will be able to managed both F-Secure’s Windows and Linux Anti-Virus solutions from one central management system the F-Secure Policy Manager. By using this solution the increasing number of Linux workstations and servers can be easily protected and the security can be managed and monitored from one central location. Also, with the new offering virus protection on the Linux workstation or server becomes automatic as files are scanned in real time and not just with manual commands and scheduled scanning tasks.
