ActivCard Appoints Two New Senior Vice Presidents to Lead Global Sales and Marketing
Enterprise Software Veterans, Frank Bishop and Glenn Cross, Join ActivCard Executive Management Team
FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — ActivCard(R) (Nasdaq: ACTI), a leading global provider of Secure Digital Identity and Authentication solutions for secure remote access, secure sign-on and digital ID cards, today announced the appointment of Frank Bishop as senior vice president of Product Strategy, Management and Marketing; and Glenn Cross as senior vice president of Global Sales and Customer Services.

Mr. Bishop’s responsibilities will include product development, product management and industry solutions, as well as execution of strategy and programs for corporate marketing. Since 2001, he has served as vice president and general manager at Siebel(R) Systems, architecting and managing the Siebel Industry Sector vertical solutions and services offerings. Mr. Bishop previously held multiple senior executive management positions at Oracle(R) Corporation from 1989 to 2001, including his most recent roles as vice president of the Industry Applications Division and of the Federal Products Division. He has worked extensively with the U.S. and international governments, as well as with large enterprises, channel and OEM partners. Bishop has more than 20 years experience in the computing industry, and has also held senior management positions at Wang Laboratories, Honeywell(R) Information Systems, and Gillette(R).
Mr. Cross’s responsibilities will include worldwide sales, including OEM, channel and direct sales. Since 2001, he was senior vice president of sales, services and business development at Palm(R), Inc. for enterprise solution sales and global strategic alliances. Mr. Cross previously served in multiple senior sales management positions at Sun Microsystems(TM) from 1996 to 2001. As a key sales vice president on the initial team that built JavaSoft(TM), Mr. Cross took Java technology from its infancy to a world-class development platform. He went on to drive sales at iPlanet(TM) — a partnership of Sun, AOL(R) and Netscape(R) — serving as vice president of worldwide partners, business development and sales operations. Cross has more than 20 years experience in the computing industry, and has also held executive positions at Adobe(R), Lotus(R), and General Magic.
