MADRID, October 8, 2003 – Panda Software and Arrakis -part of the BT group- have joined forces in an agreement that will give visitors to the ISPs website at http://www.arrakis.com/antivirus an exclusive antivirus channel. “Nowadays, to defend computers from the latest threats, users need effective antivirus solutions and accurate up-to-date information,” explains Joaquin Collado, General Manager at Arrakis. “We believe this agreement with Panda Software will let us offer visitors quality services and unique added-value,” adds Collado.
This initiative forms part of Panda Software’s overall expansion strategy centered, in the short to medium term, on significantly strengthening its Internet presence. “An alliance with an ISP with the stature of Arrakis is a key step in our progress towards our goal of ridding the planet of viruses by helping users to protect themselves from malicious code,” explains Jose Maria Hernandez, VP International Expansion at Panda Software.
