ActiveState and Ositis Partner on All-in-One Security Appliance
ActiveState selected to provide spam protection for Ositis’ eShield and WinProxy products
VANCOUVER, BC, 2003/06/18 ActiveState, the leader in enterprise email content filtering software, and Ositis, a leading developer of security appliances and secure Internet sharing solutions, today announced a licensing agreement to provide ActiveState’s PureMessage anti-spam engine within the Ositis eShield appliance and WinProxy SecureSuite software. Through the combined products, individuals and businesses alike will have access to a fully integrated email and web content security solution.
Individuals and small businesses are faced with a growing problem of controlling unwanted content from infiltrating their organization. Industry analyst, the Radicati Group, projects corporate and consumer mailboxes to rise from 772 million to over 1.5 billion over the next five years. At the same time, the projected amount of unwanted mass mailings and malicious computer code will skyrocket, with spam growing from 30 billion to more than 76 billion messages, and the cost of viruses more than doubling to over $75 billion in economic losses.
