Alliance & Leicester Chose Sophos Anti-Virus
Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, today announced that Alliance & Leicester, one of the UK’s major financial services groups, has chosen to renew its contract with Sophos Anti-Virus to protect its servers and workstations from over 68,000 computer viruses, Trojans and worms.
The Alliance & Leicester has been using Sophos Anti-Virus (SAV) since 1995, and the software is deployed throughout the organisation. Sophos Anti-Virus currently defends 7,000 computer users within the Alliance & Leicester Group from virus attack.
“After an initial evaluation process Sophos Anti-Virus proved itself to be the product best suited to our needs,” said David Peel, head of service delivery for the Alliance & Leicester. “We cannot run the risk of infection; the Sophos solution has continued to provide the reliability, protection and superior level of support that we require.”
“Computer viruses have the potential to cause significant damage so efficient protection is a must,” said Mark Forrest, sales and marketing director for Sophos Anti-Virus. “We are naturally delighted to be the preferred choice of the Alliance & Leicester Group once again, and believe that their loyalty illustrates the commitment we show to all Sophos customers.”
