Network-1 Forms Strategic Relationship with Kroll
WALTHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 6, 2001–Network-1 Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSSI), a technology leader in active intrusion prevention solutions for e-Business networks announced that it has entered into a strategic relationship with the Kroll Information Security Group, a unit of The Kroll-O’Gara Company (Nasdaq: KROG), the world leader in security consulting. This relationship includes, among other things, an understanding that Kroll will enter into an agreement for the resale of Network-1’s CyberwallPLUS firewall and intrusion prevention products as part of its network security solution set.
The reseller agreement will enable Kroll to distribute CyberwallPLUS to its customers for use as a second layer of security behind traditional network perimeter defenses. Host-based security such as CyberwallPLUS compliments traditional perimeter defenses to effectively enable today’s e-business and e-government transactions while preventing hacking threats that continue to gain in intensity and sophistication. CyberwallPLUS enables highly specific security policies to be implemented on a per-computer basis, protecting critical network assets, without impairing legitimate e-Business activities.
