SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 15 /PRNewswire/ — PGP Security, a division of Network Associates (Nasdaq: NETA), today announced that it has expanded Gauntlet Firewall 6.0 and virtual private networking (VPN) software support to include the 64-bit Solaris(TM) 8 Operating Environment (Solaris OE) from Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq: SUNW). This makes PGP Security, with its Gauntlet 6.0 product, one of the first major firewall application providers to fully support the Solaris OE on all of Sun’s hardware platforms, including the recently introduced Netra(TM) T1 and X1 thin servers and the UltraSPARC(TM) III based servers.
Shipping June 15, 2001, 64-bit Gauntlet 6.0 product is a comprehensive integrated firewall and ICSA, IPsec certified VPN software solution that is compatible with existing infrastructures. This highly scalable package delivers a cost-effective, easy-to-deploy, and simple-to-manage offering that can reside at single or multiple locations, making it ideal for small, medium and large networks.
