MIS Training Institute and Information Security Institute Present InfoSecurity University at COMDEX Chicago 2001
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 15, 2001–At the invitation of COMDEX, MIS Training Institute and Information Security Institute (ISI) will present InfoSecurity University at COMDEX Chicago, April 3-4, 2001.
Recognized information security expert Ken Cutler, CISSP, CISA, Managing Director of ISI, will lead two days of intensive workshops that cover tested techniques for protecting mission-critical systems and data in today’s technology-dependent business environment. The one-day workshop on April 3, Securing Today’s Networks, will provide information on built-in and add-on security features for deploying a network infrastructure security program. Mr. Cutler will also discuss risk assessment and how to combat hacker attacks.
On April 4, Mr. Cutler will present two half-day sessions, Remote Access and Portable Systems: Security to Go and Staying Ahead of the Hackers: Vulnerability and Penetration Testing. In the first session, Mr. Cutler will address protection of remote access within a network, including portable PCs, dial-up access, and cable modems. The final workshop will concentrate on client/server technology and securing Web sites and e-commerce systems.
Ken Cutler, previously the Vice President of e-Security Initiatives for The Netplex Group, has more than 25 years of experience in information security, auditing, quality assurance, and information services. He is the primary author of the widely acclaimed Commercial International Security Requirements (CISR) and is frequently quoted in such popular trade publications as Computerworld, Communications Week, Client/Server Journal, Datamation, and Infoword.
