Fidelis Cybersecurity appoints Anup Ghosh as CEO
Fidelis Cybersecurity announced the appointment of cybersecurity industry veteran, Anup Ghosh as CEO. Ghosh leaves his post as Managing Director at Accenture Security to drive Fidelis Cybersecurity through its next growth stage following the company’s acquisition by Skyview Capital late last year.
“Anup is extremely well-qualified to lead Fidelis in the next stage of its growth”, said Darryl Smith, President of Global Portfolio Operations at Skyview Capital.
“His deep knowledge of the cybersecurity industry coupled with his visionary leadership experience at Invincea and Accenture make him the ideal leader for Fidelis, and more importantly, for Fidelis’s customers that need ever greater visibility and control over the threats they are facing.
“Skyview looks forward to partnering with Anup to take Fidelis to a position of leadership in the cybersecurity industry.”
Prior to joining Fidelis Cybersecurity, Ghosh was managing director and global platforms lead at Accenture Security, where he led strategic technology investments that scaled Accenture Security’s rapid growth in the managed security services business.
Previously Ghosh founded and ran Invincea, a Virginia-based machine learning cybersecurity company, through its acquisition by Sophos in March 2017.
Prior to founding Invincea, he was a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where he created and managed an extensive portfolio of cybersecurity programs for the US Government DOD and Intelligence Community.
“Fidelis Cybersecurity is a pioneer within the cybersecurity industry. The company has laid the foundation for new innovation and industry direction with a strong offering in extended detection & response (XDR) to find, fool, and vanquish adversaries before they can cause harm on our customers’ extended enterprise,” said Anup Ghosh, CEO of Fidelis Cybersecurity.
“Joining this talented team of cybersecurity experts is a true honor and, together, we will empower our customers to focus on the threats that matter with a product suite that extends from endpoints to cloud.”
Earlier in his career, Ghosh held roles as Chief Scientist in the Center for Secure Information Systems at George Mason University and as Vice President of Research at Cigital, Inc. He has served as a member of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board and the Naval Studies Board, informing the future of American cyber defenses.
