SentinelOne hires Chuck Fontana as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development
SentinelOne, the autonomous cybersecurity platform company, announced the appointment of Chuck Fontana as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development. Mr. Fontana will lead SentinelOne’s business and corporate (M&A) development functions, supporting the company on its journey as the world’s next great cybersecurity platform.
“Our journey from startup to an iconic platform company requires proactively driving the evolution of our business with and through other technology leaders,” said Nicholas Warner, COO, SentinelOne.
“Chuck has established himself as a visionary in scaling business and corporate development initiatives during phases of rapid growth. We look forward to him playing a key role in helping us stay one step ahead of the ever-evolving threat landscape while shaping and disrupting multiple categories.”
Mr. Fontana brings over 20 years of experience in business and corporate development. Prior to joining SentinelOne Mr. Fontana was at Okta Inc., leading business and corporate development from their Series C through their successful IPO, and most recently leading their ecosystem of strategic partnerships and integrations as Vice President of the Okta Integration Network.
During his time at Okta, Mr. Fontana led strategic partnerships with AWS, Google, Citrix, VMWare, ServiceNow, and many others, building out Okta’s highly successful partner ecosystem and go-to-market program. Prior to Okta, Fontana held a variety of executive roles in product and business development at Cisco Systems Unified Communications division.
As SVP of Corporate and Business Development at SentinelOne, Mr. Fontana will drive a comprehensive integration partner ecosystem and alliance strategy, activating OEM & cybersecurity services partnerships, and establishing strategic technology partnerships to organically and inorganically extend the company’s sales and go-to-market reach.
“SentinelOne is emerging as a category-leading cybersecurity platform with immense opportunities for technology partners,” said Fontana.
“I’ve watched SentinelOne be the first to consolidate EPP and EDR and continue to innovate, delivering a platform encompassing IoT security and CWPP offerings. With more than 300 APIs, SentinelOne’s Singularity platform is highly differentiated in the breadth and depth of its integration capabilities.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity to join at such a pivotal time – helping enterprises liberate themselves from difficult to manage products, which are ineffective against modern day cyber-attacks.”
Over the past year, SentinelOne has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the next-gen cybersecurity industry. In February, SentinelOne raised $200 million in Series E funding bringing the company’s valuation to $1.1 billion.
Prior, SentinelOne was named the seventh fastest growing company in North America, the fastest growing in Silicon Valley, and was the only cybersecurity company recognized in the top 10 of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
SentinelOne was also the only cybersecurity company included on the 2020 CNBC Disruptor 50, CB Insights AI 100 ranking and the Forbes AI 50 list. Customers highly rate the SentinelOne ownership experience as evidenced by 4.9/5 Gartner Peer Insights scores and Gartner Customers’ Choice Awards across both EPP and EDR categories.
