CloudKnox Cloud Security Platform for VMware Cloud on AWS is now available
The CloudKnox Cloud Security Platform is now available to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.
VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware’s enterprise-class Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and AWS elastic, bare-metal infrastructure to give organizations consistent operating model and application mobility across the hybrid cloud.
The CloudKnox Security Platform empowers security and infrastructure teams to proactively address accidental and intentional privileged credential misuse by continuously detecting and mitigating machine and human identities with excessive high-risk privileges.
Managing the exponential growth of identities, as well as the proliferation of cloud services and their associated roles and privileges, has become extremely complex and overwhelming for enterprises.
If security and cloud infrastructure teams are going to effectively manage the growing risk of over-privileged identities, they will require deep visibility, context and intelligence to support the continuous enforcement of least privilege policies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
The CloudKnox Cloud Security Platform protects critical cloud resources from privilege misuse by continuously managing and monitoring all machine and human identity actions for customers of VMware Cloud on AWS using an Activity-based Authorization protocol. This new model addresses the limitations of legacy frameworks, such as static Role-based Access Controls (RBAC) and manual labor-intensive processes.
“The CloudKnox Cloud Security Platform enables customers to continuously manage identity privileges across hybrid and multi-cloud environments,” said Balaji Parimi, founder and CEO of CloudKnox Security. “This is a critical aspect of cloud security for any organization operating in a complex environment, and we are excited to be able to offer it to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.”
VMware Cloud on AWS technology partners enable customers to deploy the same proven solutions seamlessly in both the public and private cloud. VMware simplifies the deployment and eliminates the need for partners to refactor solutions for VMware Cloud on AWS. If a partner solution works on-premises in a VMware vSphere environment, it will support VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware technology partners complement and enhance native VMware Cloud on AWS service and enable customers to realize new capabilities.
“VMware Cloud on AWS provides customers a seamlessly integrated hybrid cloud offering that gives customers the SDDC experience from the leader in private cloud, VMware, running on the leading public cloud provider, AWS,” said Kristen Edwards, director, Technology Alliance Partner Program. “Solutions such as the CloudKnox Cloud Security Platform enable IT teams to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and create operational consistency across cloud environments. We’re excited to work with CloudKnox Security to enhance native VMware Cloud on AWS capabilities and empower customers with flexibility and choice in solutions that can drive business value.”
