Oror Worm – Highest Threat Levels Since Bugbear

Malicious viruses are released every day, some proving more threatening than others. Today, Panda Software reported maximum threat levels on variants of the Oror Worm. Oror is a dangerous new worm which deletes all of the files in the infected computer’s hard disk, as well as every network drive accessible from the infected machine. Hinojosa stated that customers using Panda Antivirus have not reported infection, due largely to the fact they are protected by Panda’s daily signature file updates. These updates contain a generic built in detector that silently eliminates this type of virus before they can even show up in a user’s system.
