Koobface worm on Facebook: The Christmas trick

Almost a month ago, TrendLabs detected a new Koobface worm component that makes Internet Explorer create Facebook accounts, join random Facebook groups, add friends, post messages to their walls that invite them to check out a cool link, and more.

Aided by this components, Koobface has launched a new campaign that uses as bait a Christmas-themed video on a fake YouTube page:

Of course, it says on the page that in order to watch it, you have to download Adobe Flash Player – the link to which makes you download a malicious file – WORM_KOOBFACE.X.
