New variant of the OSX_JAHLAV malware in the wild
Trend Micro researcher Ivan Macalintal, discovered another variant of the JAHLAV family: OSX_JAHLAV.I affecting Mac OS X.
Once again, this malware comes in the form of a malicious application posing as a legitimate one, and once again it allows phishing attacks against users or redirects them to a site where they can be exploited.
The only difference that this time it doesn’t look just like an QuickTime update, but also as a version of Foxit Reader and various antivirus apps.
