Kylie Wright-Ford joins RSAC as CEO
Crosspoint Capital, Clearlake and STG announced the appointment of Kylie Wright-Ford as chief executive officer of RSA Conference (RSAC) to accelerate its strategy of providing year-round value to the 3 million+ professionals in the global cybersecurity community.
Wright-Ford will lead RSAC in its continued mission to be the hub for all things cybersecurity and serve the global cyber community. Wright-Ford joins RSAC with an extensive track record of building communities for business professionals, driving growth and empowering teams in global settings, having served in leadership roles at leading organizations, such as World 50 and GLG.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to connect and serve the growing community of over 3 million cybersecurity professionals who wake up every day ready to protect the most trusted organizations and defend billions of individuals globally,” said Kylie Wright-Ford, CEO of RSAC. “RSA Conference is the premiere event that this community turns to for cybersecurity education, networking and collaboration, and I look forward to working with the team, led by Linda Gray Martin, and the cybersecurity community to double down on the power of digital communities as we enter this new phase.”
“Crosspoint Capital, Clearlake and STG are excited to invest behind an independent entity that provides continuous value to the broader cyber community. Kylie joins RSAC at a time when the security industry is contending with a longstanding and severe cyber talent shortage. Cyberattacks continue to increase both in severity and frequency, which highlights the importance of RSAC’s longstanding mission to be the independent knowledge broker of all things cybersecurity. Kylie’s experience of building membership models around critical business communities is clear, and we are thrilled that she is leading the charge to expand the business and deliver continuous value to cyber professionals,” said Dr. Hugh Thompson, managing partner of Crosspoint Capital and chairman of the board of RSAC’s parent holding company.
In June 2022, RSAC brought the cybersecurity industry together for its 31st Annual RSA Conference in San Francisco. More than 26,000 attendees attended the event to network on the expo floor and participate in keynote presentations, track sessions, tutorials, seminars and special events. The annual RSA Conference will continue to expand and innovate at RSA Conference 2023 to be held April 24 – 27, 2023 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
“As we look to RSA Conference 2023, I’m excited to partner with Kylie and our investors that care passionately about our industry and our community. We are thrilled to now be independent which will lead to a heightened focus on nurturing and expanding upon our respected programs,” said Linda Gray Martin, vice president of RSAC.
