Codefresh names Christian Hernandez to lead Developer Experience program
Codefresh named Christian Hernandez to lead the company’s strategic Developer Experience program.
In his new role, Hernandez will spearhead open-source innovation and collaboration initiatives, delivering valuable contributions to the Argo Project and cultivating Codefresh’s developer enablement programs, including its popular GitOps Fundamentals Certification Course with over 8,000 DevOps engineers already certified. He joins Codefresh’s Open Source group, reporting to company co-founder and Chief Open Source Officer Dan Garfield.
Hernandez is an eight-year Red Hat veteran, where he most recently served in a senior leadership role focused on customer and field engagement via the company’s Hybrid Platforms team. He is the author of “The Path to GitOps” and previously hosted Red Hat’s popular podcast “GitOps Guide to the Galaxy.”
“As a key advocate for the Argo Project and OpenGitOps, Christian’s passion for open-source and GitOps best practices makes him a perfect fit for Codefresh,” said Dan Garfield, Codefresh. “His hands on involvement and leadership in GitOps distinguish him as a foremost industry expert, and an important voice to help guide and strengthen Codefresh’s open-source commitments and developer engagement.”
“Codefresh is leading innovation on GitOps with the Argo Project, and its ongoing initiative to democratize GitOps makes it a natural fit as I progress to the next stage in my journey,” said Christian Hernandez. “Every organization can benefit from adopting a GitOps culture and delivering software in a frequent, highly automated, and secure manner – without compromising the quality of their code.”
