Transcend appoints Mike Orlick as VP of Sales
Transcend welcomed Mike Orlick as its Vice President of Sales. Mike brings more than 15 years of sales experience at some of the world’s leading and fastest-growing software companies, including RightNow Technologies (acquired by Oracle) and Zendesk.
Most recently, Mike spent nearly six years at WalkMe, where he was one of the highest-performing sales executives and contributed substantially to the company’s rapid early growth trajectory and successful 2021 IPO.
At Transcend, Mike will lead all sales efforts, accelerating customer adoption for urgent privacy use cases that businesses face worldwide.
“Privacy is rapidly becoming a technical problem for companies across nearly every industry. With regulations emerging on an ongoing basis and heightened consumer expectations, the consequences of non-compliance are significant—operationally, reputationally, and financially. Enabling companies to automate their privacy processes across use cases is what Transcend does best. This is meaningful work, and I am thrilled to lead our sales organization,” said Orlick.
“Many early Transcend customers like Opendoor, Groupon, Robinhood, and HashiCorp helped us perfect a privacy platform that uniquely addresses today’s most pressing privacy challenges. As we rapidly scale to help companies across the industry transform their approach to the technical issues of privacy, Mike is the perfect leader to take us into this new era. He is a world-class executive with a strategic ability to match burning customer problems with technical, long-lasting solutions that make their lives easier and put them a step ahead of their peers,” said Transcend’s Chief Operating Officer, Kate Parker.
Transcend has also welcomed Richard Alfonsi, formerly a key global executive at Stripe, Twitter, and Google, as an advisor for the company. Richard is an expert in dynamic strategies for fast-growing, engineering-led companies.
“I’m thrilled to serve as an advisor to the Transcend team on their work to make substantive, technical data privacy infrastructure easy for businesses. I gravitate toward companies that have a strong conviction for building the platforms that power the internet. Privacy is a complex new frontier that is quickly evolving from theory on paper to auditable data flows in practice. I look forward to partnering with the Transcend leadership team,” said Alfonsi.
