Protegrity expands its executive leadership team with new promotions
Protegrity announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the promotions of Terri McBride (EVP, global people and HR) and Kaitlin Hartshorn (VP, legal affairs) following the appointment of Paul Mountford as CEO in November 2021.
The newly expanded leadership team will enable Protegrity to streamline company operations and support continued revenue and employee growth.
“Terri and Kaitlin are experts in their respective fields and have already contributed significantly to Protegrity’s business success in previous roles,” said Mountford. “As our business grows, Terri will be instrumental in scaling our culture to ensure not only the operational efficiency of our workforce, but also to help guarantee that our company will remain a great place to work for every employee. Kaitlin’s deep expertise in legal affairs will also be an invaluable asset to mitigating risk, ensuring proper governance, and safely scaling our business into new markets and geographies.”
In her new role, McBride will oversee all HR and people management functions of Protegrity across its global workforce of over 400 employees. She brings more than 15 years of experience in human capital, transformational change, organization design, talent management, and performance management. McBride specializes in creating high-performing cultures that enable individuals and organizations to deliver strategic and operational results.
Prior to joining Protegrity, McBride spent a majority of her career with A.T. Kearney and McKinsey & Company. Her industry experience spans the technology, private equity, financial services, and professional services sectors. McBride holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in international economics from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in international relations from The Australian National University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Montana State University.
“Protegrity is full of incredibly talented and highly collaborative individuals who are propelling our business forward,” said McBride. “It’s been a privilege to oversee our global people and HR organization, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with our global workforce as we scale our business into the future.”
Since joining Protegrity in 2017, Hartshorn has served as the company’s senior director of legal affairs. In her new role as VP, legal affairs, she will continue to handle all legal and corporate governance functions of the business globally. Hartshorn brings more than a decade of legal experience, specializing in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts that mitigate business risks for the company.
Prior to joining Protegrity, Hartshorn held various legal positions at an asset management and consulting firm. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from Skidmore College and her Juris Doctorate from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Hartshorn is a member of The New York State Bar Association and The Florida Bar.
“Amid the rapid evolution of the data security and privacy landscape, Protegrity has remained highly dynamic and adaptive to help our customers protect their businesses and drive innovation,” said Hartshorn. “In this new role, I look forward to continuing to spearhead Protegrity’s legal affairs to minimize risk and ensure our business is properly protected to scale to the next level.”
