Spirent launches C200 appliance, a security and application performance testing solution
Spirent Communications, the trusted provider of test, measurement, assurance and analytics solutions for next-generation devices and networks, announced the introduction of the C200 appliance.
Enabling industry-leading 100G and Crypto performance testing, the C200 represents a significant expansion of the Spirent CyberFlood security and application performance testing solution family.
An all-in-one solution, the C200 packs the full capabilities of CyberFlood into a quint-speed appliance that uses only 1U of rack space. Available immediately, the C200 provides carrier-class performance for applications, attacks and cryptographic testing.
“CyberFlood is already widely used to perform assessments of network security appliances, services and end-to-end infrastructures,” said Jurrie van den Breekel, vice president of business development and product management at Spirent.
“The new C200 provides quint-speed interconnect support, from 10G to 100G, and up to a 100 per cent jump in cryptographic testing performance compared to previous Spirent appliance solutions, providing more assessment capacity in less rack space.”
Designed to be completely self-contained, the C200 allows users to start testing in minutes, with the single 1U appliance providing connectivity at 10G, 25G, 40G, 50G, and 100G.
With up to 16 x 10G or 4 x 100G ports per appliance, the C200 provides the highest network security testing capacity per rack unit in the industry. Used together, multiple C200s offer 48 x 100G or 192 x 10G ports, delivering more than 3.5Tbps of application layer testing capacity in 12U of rack space.
The combination of flexibility and size makes the C200 a good fit for enterprises, service providers, network equipment vendors, and government organizations requiring network security testing and pre-deployment validation.
The C200 with CyberFlood supports NetSecOPEN standards-based testing methodologies, that better reflect how modern security and content inspection solutions will perform under a variety of real-world traffic conditions and threats.
In addition, the C200 supports Spirent’s legacy Avalanche solution, which provides extensive client emulation and application services load testing on a massive scale.
The C200 is part of a family of Spirent CyberFlood hardware, virtual and cloud solutions that scale to fit a wide range of environments and customer needs.
