Imperva expands its executive leadership team
Imperva, the cybersecurity leader championing the fight to secure data and applications wherever they reside, announced the appointment of two new members to the company’s executive leadership team, expanding Imperva’s commitment to providing customers with the most innovative solutions to protect their vital digital assets.
Joining Imperva as SVP of Product Management is Steven Schoenfeld, a seasoned security expert with over 20 years of experience. Schoenfeld will be responsible for setting the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for our products.
Previously, he served as SVP of Products at Blue Coat Systems prior to its acquisition by Symantec, and also helped lead product management at Symantec following the acquisition.
Imperva also welcomed James Lok as SVP of Product Development. Lok has 20 years of experience scaling and leading global engineering teams for companies including Yahoo, Intuit and Citrix. He is responsible for developing new products and improving existing products so that the company can meet customers’ needs more effectively.
“We’re privileged to welcome two highly respected and experienced industry veterans to the Imperva leadership team,” said Charles Goodman, Interim CEO and Chairman, Imperva.
“The technical expertise at Imperva is amazing and it has been recognized externally as we were recently recognized for the sixth time in a row as a Gartner Leader in the Web Application Firewall sector.”
Schoenfeld and Lok join CTO Kunal Anand to complete the impressive list of technologists who are leading the company at the executive level. Anand joined Imperva in 2018 through the Prevoty acquisition, where he served as the co-founder and CTO.
Prior to this, he held roles driving security and engineering innovation at leading global organizations including Gravity, MySpace and the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. Anand is responsible for the company’s technology vision.
