Indegy certified with McAfee SIEM for IT/OT risk monitoring and mitigation
Indegy, a leading provider of security solutions for industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments, announced that the Indegy Industrial Cyber Security Suite has been certified with McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM).
McAfee Enterprise Security Manager is a security information and event management (SIEM) solution that delivers actionable intelligence and integrations to prioritize, investigate, and respond to threats. Through this integration, customers can achieve security and control over their industrial networks with active and passive monitoring options across IT and OT networks.
Indegy is a member of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance, which helps accelerate and simplify the development of interoperable security products within complex customer environments for more holistic information sharing and protection against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
Through this partnership, Indegy and McAfee address a rising need to shorten response times from security events impacting industrial infrastructure and more easily identify and remediate compromised systems.
“With industrial operations and critical infrastructure in the cross-hairs of targeted attacks and malware, the addition of Indegy into the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program is timely and essential,” said D.J. Long, vice president business development, McAfee. “We expect our joint solution to greatly increase the safety and security of industrial operations.”
The integration will enable organizations to combine threat intelligence and security logs from the McAfee ESM with events from the Indegy Industrial Cyber Security Suite to centrally protect industrial networks from cyber threats, malicious insiders and human error.
The combined solution provides threat intelligence from Indegy and McAfee sources, detection and mitigation, asset tracking, vulnerability management, configuration control and device integrity checks.
“With the increased convergence of IT and OT in industrial environments, organizations that lack visibility, security and control across both networks are at risk,” said Barak Perelman, CEO of Indegy. “This partnership with McAfee enables our joint customers to achieve unified monitoring and detection of both IT and OT threats for faster remediation and response.”
Joint customers will now have better visibility into their assets, security monitoring and anomaly detection across industrial IT and OT systems. Additionally, the combined architecture simplifies compliance with regulations such as the NIS Directive which mandates improved cyber security for Operators of Essential Services (OES).
