Fidelis Cybersecurity appoints Craig Harber as CTO
Fidelis Cybersecurity, a leading provider of threat detection, threat hunting, and response solutions, announced the appointment of Craig Harber as Chief Technology Officer.
Harber brings with him over 30 years of experience driving major cybersecurity initiatives across the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
In this role, Harber will be a member of the Fidelis executive leadership team and is charged with directing the product strategy and operationalizing the full power of the Fidelis Platform.
He will also ensure that Fidelis’ technological investments and developments align with and complement the industry’s leading security frameworks.
Harber explains, “I’m thrilled to join Fidelis and help customers across sectors improve their cybersecurity programs to meet or surpass the standards set by the DOD and IC. Fidelis provides many of the core capabilities that should be included in a streamlined security stack that the industry is asking for, to provide better visibility and understanding of an organization’s entire cyber terrain.”
Harber comes to Fidelis after having led a distinguished career at the National Security Agency (NSA), and most recently United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), where he held senior technical roles.
During this time, he invented the threat-based cybersecurity strategy framework known as NIPRNet SIPRNet Cyber Security Architecture Review (NSCSAR).
This framework is still in use today by DOD policymakers to objectively measure the expected value of cybersecurity investments.
Harber also transformed Active Cyber Defense concepts into capability pilots, commercial product improvements, industry standards, and operational solutions.
“Fidelis offerings are closely aligned with the key concepts I advocated for while working at the NSA and USCYBERCOM,” says Harber, “I’m excited to be part of a team that is uniquely positioned to provide what so many organizations need right now – an integrated, automated, orchestrated and correlated solution that can operate within the adversary’s decision cycle.”
Nick Lantuh, CEO of Fidelis Cybersecurity, comments, “We’re extremely pleased to have someone of Craig’s caliber joining our executive team here at Fidelis. His experience in building and defining cybersecurity products and strategies is invaluable to our mission.
We’re tapping into his extensive knowledge to guide our strategic direction to ensure we continue to remain aligned with the quality and efficacy of security solutions deployed by the most secure government agencies in the world.”
